Draakenwood

I’m so excited to share the latest adventure of Whyborne & Griffin with you all! This book was a long time coming–I’d initially hoped to have it out in April, but spent most of January and February sick (I’m better now). But it’s FINALLY here! And for those of you who love audio, Julian is already hard at work, so I will have news for you on that front very soon.

Someone is killing members of the old families…and the evidence points to Whyborne.

Widdershins has been unusually quiet for months. But now a mysterious creature from the Outside is on the loose, assassinating members of the town’s old families by draining their blood. Whyborne and Griffin set out to solve the mystery—but as the evidence piles up, the police begin to suspect Whyborne himself is the murderer.

Now Whyborne must both clear his name and stop the horrors the monster threatens to unleash. His only hope: an alliance with his old enemies the Endicotts.

Because something terrible lurks in the Draakenwood, and it will stop at nothing to seize control of the maelstrom itself.

  1. I just finished it about an hour ago and wow! It’s so tense and several scenes had me on edge. I love all these characters so much, but Miss Parkhurst was absolutely darling. I always figured she had a tough core and it really shined this time.

Although, as usual, I’m looking forward to the next installment, Draakenwood will linger on for me for days. Thank you so much for another exciting adventure. Look forward to the ones to come.

  2. I have bought both ebook and audio copies of each story and am dying for the audio to be released. My habit as it were is to listen to the audio first and then read the book as I can hear the characters in my head. I didn’t find this series until the last book (8) had just been released. I tore through both audio and books in about a month as I listened to each book twice (some three times even) though the one with his cousins. Only once, it hurt me. Lol. . Lol I am now in the process of listening to them all again in preparation for the next one. Thank you so much for your work. You I’ve been hard pressed to find any comperable books along the same historical/slash/detective genre. So again. Thank you so much for such wonderful work.

    • Thank you so much! The audiobook should be out in July–the first round of recording has already been completed. 😀

      • Yes!!!! Its kind of awesome going back and listening to Julian”s (the readers) growth over the series. I started on Widdershins last night, I listen to audio books while I work. Tonight is Eidolin and Threshold!

  3. I tried to make myself take it slowly and make it last but I was so caught up in the story I plowed right through. It was a great read. Very interesting concepts and I am totally engaged with the characters. Can’t wait for the next installment. Keep up the great work!
